The Big Dog Riders

The Big Dog Riders is a group of intellectual riders, who share a love of riding, seek to project and maintain a positive image (both physically and mentally) and who are especially dedicated to uplifting the African American community. To understand the Big Dog Rider, you must first understand our mission.

•  A group of intellectual riders:
Every Big Dog Rider is selected based on their maturity, professionalism, style and respect for other individuals.

•  Who share a love of riding:
The Big Dog Riders are not satisfied with only local rides, the Big Dog Riders are known for their love of riding. All sanctioned Big Dog Rider rides are 2 hours or more. The Big Dogs have traveled to South Carolina (Myrtle Beach, Greenville, Bishopville etc.), Asheville (the Blue Ridge Parkway) and have plans of taking rides to Virginia, Washington DC, New York and Connecticut. Some Big Dogs have taken solo rides to Maryland, Tennessee and Boston.

•  Seek to project and maintain a positive image (both physically and mentally):

The Big Dog Riders are composed of a wide variety of professional men and women. Each are upstanding members in their community. Some are successful businessmen and leaders in their communities. Always striving to maintain a positive image(both mentally and physically) spirituality and physical fitness are key elements of a Big Dog Rider. So much so, that some Big Dog Riders compete in professional body builders tournaments and a majority are active in their local churches.

•  And who are especially dedicated to uplifting the African American community:

Giving back to our community, especially the African American community is the core of a Big Dog Rider. The Big Dog Riders are committed to volunteering monthly (at a minimum) in efforts of helping our community. We've sponsored a Bike Ride to raise money for Asbury United Methodist Church in Bishopville, South Carolina. We've also established the Big Dog Riders Scholarship Fund designed to help a deserving high school senior offset college costs. Checkout our Scrapbook Link to see some of the other exciting volunteer activities we are doing for our community.
