Walid Petiri: Encouraging Wealth Preservation
 Walid is the President of Financial Management Strategies (FMS), a company that specializes in comprehensive wealth creation and wealth preservation for individuals and small businesses. He formed FMS to advise, inform and educate clients on how to obtain their desired level of wealth and success. He is committed to providing objective, client-centered, premium services.
Mr. Petiri is a Registered Investment Advisor with over 12 years of financial experience. He has held positions at MBNA America Bank, Internal Revenue Service and American Express Financial Advisors Inc. During his career he gained extensive experience in various aspects of finance from capital creation, capital preservation and retirement planning to individual and business tax strategies.
Mr. Petiri is a graduate of New Jersey?s Montclair State University with a Bachelors of Science degree in both Business Management and Finance. He has a thorough knowledge of investments and the ability to effectively identify, analyze, and make suitable recommendations for diverse needs. He is a recipient of the Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS) designation from the College of Financial Planning, in Denver, Colorado. He is also a Registered Financial Consultant (RFC) and a select member of the International Association of Registered Financial Consultants (IARFC), an organization of professional financial advisors who are required to maintain a high standard of education, experience, and integrity.
As a respected financial educator, Mr. Petiri has developed numerous educational series on investment strategies, retirement and tax planning, for retirees, small businesses, non-profit institutions, and individuals. His clients include the Baltimore Federal Executive Board, Internal Revenue Service, ADC Telecommunications, Inc., and the Federal Highway Administration. He has instructed hundreds of retirees throughout Maryland, Trenton, New Jersey, and Philadelphia, PA. Mr. Petiri has frequently appeared on WEAA 88.9 FM as a featured financial commentator.
Mr. Petiri served on the board of directors for Waverly Terrace Cooperative Corporation, a 60-unit private housing community in Baltimore, Maryland. Currently, he serves on the Planning and Budget Committee of the Prince George County Annual Fatherhood Conference, which is part of the Maryland Fatherhood Initiative, a statewide regional effort.
Mr. Petiri is a devoted father to his son and daughter, and a member of Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church. He enjoys reading, fine arts, theater, exercising and traveling.
