Black Men Raising Girls Alone: guidance and support to single fathers
Black Men Raising Girls Alone is an organization dedicated to strengthening the moral and spiritual fiber of the young Black woman that are parented only (or primarily) by their fathers. Our goal is to ensure
that young black women have the highest likelihood of being successful,
happy, healthy and safe.
Our members fit in to one of three categories:
- On Route (Fathers currently raising girls
alone.)
- From the Hilltop (Fathers that in the past have raised their daughter(s) alone.
- Her Prospective (Adult women that were
raised by their fathers only.)
Our Philosophy: The father must live to be what he
wants his daughter (excluding obvious physical differences) to become.
To do this, the father will live to obtain, display, and/or retain
the following as a part of him:
- Character
- Commitment
- Discipline
- Integrity
- Patience
- Perseverance
- Sacrifice
- Self-restraint
- Humility
- An Undying Desire to Please God
