This month, AGBM is proud to present its salute to Black Fatherhood with features, articles and poetry. Special thanks to contributing writer, Richard Rowe and the African American Male Leadership Institute for permission to reprint selected articles from the "Black Fatherhood" newsletter.

Throughout the year, they have made many contributions to the African American community with their long hours of dedicated work-a beautiful example of unselfish love. We appreciate their investment of time and talents to positive endeavors that support, empower and uplift the African American community and in particular, its males. It is in that spirit that we extend our sincere gratitude and heartfelt congratulations on their selection as the recipients of the 2003 Legacy of Excellence Award. READ MORE

taught two generations of pupils before he obtained his formal B.A. , M.A., and
Ph.D degrees. But he was singled out by his fifth grade teacher as something
special." more
