2004 LOE Award Recipient Farajii Muhammad
Farajii R. Muhammad is a young leader, student, and dynamic speaker from Baltimore, Maryland. At the age of 19, Farajii co-founded New Light Leadership Coalition, Inc. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Board and spokesman for the youth-governed organization.
Mr. Muhammad has 8 years of experience working with youth in the community and served as the Youth Minister at the Nation of Islam's Muhammad's Mosque Number Six in his hometown. A passion for voicing the concerns of youth have led him to many avenues including speaking at community events, presenting workshops at conferences across the country, and interning at Baltimore City Hall.
Farajii is currently the host of Makes Me Wanna Holla, a youth talk radio show on Baltimore's WBGR 860AM and appears every Wednesday with "Reality Check" on DayBreak with Anthony McCarthy, the first ever morning news show on Morgan State University's WEAA 88.9FM. Farajii is currently a student at Towson University studying Public Relations with a minor in Business Administration. He has also attended Baltimore City Community College and was honored on the 2001 National Dean's list for his academic achievements.
