Our mission

AGBM, Inc. is a non-profit organization whose mission is to develop an expansive collaboration of resources and information specific to uplifting, educating, honoring and empowering Black males. Our mission is also to provide a global forum to dispel the myth that “there are no good Black men” by creating a safe haven void of unkind criticism, persecution and degradation typically found in the media and society-at-large.

The overall objective of this program module is to help participants develop a clear sense of their attributes, talents, goals, and attitudes to enhance their self image. [see goal one] In the process participants create individual plans for self-improvement, and obtain skills for job searching, job retention and career management. Life Skills is a training program for participants who are entering the workplace with a focus on self-assessment, job-readiness and decision making skills.

What we’re working towards

The goal of the AGBM, Inc. is to replace negative images of Black males by reversing the process of self-hatred by strengthening their self- confidence.

The goal of AGBM, Inc. is also to use The Internet and related technologies to:

Enhance the educational experience of it’s program participants
Help Black males achieve their goals.
Help Black males gather critical information.
Help Black males gain insight
Provide participants with a virtual forum for documenting the stories of their lives and communities.
To provide a networking forum to offer support, an exchange of ideas, and a bonding between those with the same positive image of Black men.

The members of AGBM, Inc are committed to a mission is two-fold. First, it is to silence the critics who say “there are no good black men” by providing continual proof of the invaluable skills and assets black men have always possessed. Second, it is to offer a place on the Internet for networking and fellowship.

Additionally, a portion of membership proceeds will be donated to supporting The Legacy of Excellence learning modules. With the help of these modules, we will work to encourage and re-educate young blacks on the premise that of all the things you can shape, condition, develop, improve, enhance and strengthen, the most important is your mind.
