Men of Vision, Inc.:
Improving Lives In Their Communities
There’s new leadership in town. Men of Vision Inc., a
group of organized professional young men are on a
quest to improve the lives of disadvantaged members of
the African-American community.
The Mission of Men of Vision is:
THE MEN OF VISION IS AN ORGANIZATION OF MEN WITH VARIOUS
STRENGTHS AND TALENTS WHO ARE COMMITTED TO AN INCREASED
SOCIAL AND POLITICAL AWARENESS AND ARE COMMITTED TO
CREATING INNOVATIVE INITIATIVES THAT WILL EMPOWER AND IMPROVE
LIVES OF MEMBERS OF OUR SOCIETY.
Men of Vision was officially created on June 15, 2000.
Men of Vision is an organization of men with various
strengths and talents who are committed to an
increased social and political awareness and are
committed to creating innovative initiatives that will
empower and improve lives of members of our society.
As of February 2001, Men of Vision was incorporated
(Men of Vision, Inc.), which allowed the organization
to operate as a separate entity.
Men of Visions first steps towards its initial goal of
constructing a multipurpose community center, began in
March of 2001 with the design of the 1st ANNUAL
INTERGENERATIONAL CELEBRITY BASKETBALL GAME & YOUTH
SYMPOSIUM.
This event was held on September 15,
2001 at Morgan State University’s Hill Field House.
The event will began with free YOUTH SYMPOSIUM from
12:00 noon – 2:00 pm and was followed by a CELEBRITY
BASKETBALL GAME from 3:00pm – UNTIL.
The goal of the event was to educate our community and
initiate dialogue about the social problems that are
plaguing our community, while bridging the social,
economic and generational gaps that we are faced with
today.
