Submission Guidelines
By submitting your work, you agree to grant D. A. Brown the nonexclusive right to publish your work via the World Wide Web site agoodblackman.com. All other rights to the work belong to you. You guarantee that this work is your own and that you have the right to grant us the use of it. We will print a copyright notice in your name and, if applicable, a publication history along with the work; but if it has not been registered with the Copyright Office and you want it to be, that will be up to you. We will code the work in HTML as needed for Web presentation but will make no changes in text or title without your written permission. You may withdraw permission to publish at any time by giving written notice by street- or e-mail to our Webmaster, who will remove your work from our Web site within one week of receipt of such notice.
All information displayed, transmitted or carried on the agoodblackman.com web site including, but not limited to, directories, guides, news articles, opinions, reviews, text, photographs, images, illustrations, audio clips, video clips, trademarks, service marks and the like (collectively, the "Content") is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
By submitting your work, you also agree not to use the agoodblackman.com web site to send or submit for public posting, distribute or otherwise publish through the agoodblackman.com Web site, any content (textual, graphical or otherwise) which
• is libelous, abusive, obscene, profane, defamatory, inaccurate, sexually explicit, inappropriate for general distribution, threatening or otherwise illegal.
• promotes, suggests or encourages illegal acts
• contains any solicitation of funds or unsolicited "junk" mail
• violates any copyright, trademark or other intellectual property laws, including but not limited to the re-posting of any material from other sources
• contains any advertisement of goods or services, except in areas specifically designated for such purpose
• violates any other laws of any jurisdiction in which the agoodblackman.com Website is distributed. Any violation of the foregoing prohibitions may result in the removal of your submission and may be referred to law enforcement authorities.
Agoodblackman.com is not responsible for any content submitted by you or by your representatives for screening, editing or monitoring such material. Nevertheless, we reserve the right (but is not obligated) to delete material that is deemed to be in violation of the terms of this Agreement or otherwise unacceptable.
By submitting your work you agree to indemnify, defend and hold D. A. Brown, agoodblackman.com and all of its affiliates harmless from any claims (including, but not limited to, claims for defamation, trade disparagement, privacy and intellectual property infringement) and damages (including attorneys' fees) arising from any submissions by you.
By submitting your work you understand that the agoodblackman.com web site contains facts, views, opinions, statements and recommendations of third party individuals and organizations. You further understand that D. A. Brown, the agoodblackman.com web site or any of its affiliates do not represent or endorse the accuracy, currentness or reliability of any advice, opinion, statement or other information displayed, uploaded or distributed through the web site. You acknowledge that any reliance upon any such opinion, advice, statement or information shall be at your sole risk.
