Eugene Williams, Jr. Is a writer, poet, singer, professional actor, SAT instructor;
author of It's A Reading Thing, Help Your Child Understand, and The Raisin In Milk Syndrome: 10 Survival Tips For Black Students At Predominantly White Colleges and Universities. His most recent work is a collection of original poems and writings Entitled, Reflections of a Confused Middle Class Black Youth.
In this innovative, groundbreaking anthology, Mr. Williams reflects on his experiences as a student in such prestigious predominantly White institutions as The McDonogh School, Ransom Everglades School, and Emory University, as well as his urban upbringing in Cities of miami and Baltimore. He has combined these elements to create a provocative body of literature that examines social issues and human relationships from An African-American middle class perspective.
Williams' books have been endorsed by Highly esteemed writers such as Patrice
Gaines, author of Laughing In The DArk and William Raspberry of The Washington Post, and political Commentator Julianne Malveaux. He has appeared on America's Black Forum(NBC), News Talk TV, The Tony Brown Show, CNN, and BET discussing race relations, Education, and other related issues.
As a child actor, Eugene Williams, Jr. appeared on stage, screen, and television
with such celebrities as BILL COSBY, OSSIE DAVIS, RAY CHARLES, PEARL
BAILEY, JOHN RAITT, and STEPHANIE MILLS. In 1978, he became the first
Black in a major, recurring role on the Highly acclaimed CBS soap opera,
SEARCH FOR TOMORROW. At age 12, He served as a correspondent for PM
Magazine (a syndicated news program). Over the years, Williams has been
Featured in THE WASHINGTON POST, THE WASHINGTON TIMES, EBONY,
JET, PEOPLE, BLACK EXCELLENCE, THE JOURNAL OF BLACKS IN HIGHER EDUCATION, and several other national Publications. Williams has also received Speaking invitations from numerous Colleges and universities.
After attaining a B.A. degree in English From Emory University in 1991, Williams
Resumed his acting career by appearing On "In Our Lives", a Washington, D.C.
Based talk show about teen issues, and by touring with "Poetry Alive", a nationally -known troupe of entertainers that perform dramatic interpretations of poetry at schools and colleges throughout the United States. He recently completed a novella, "I am The Darker Brother".

A motivational speaker, Williams is a much sought after speaker and workshop leader on racial and education issues. Married and the father of one daughter, he teaches high school English And coaches junior varsity football in a rural county in the State of Virginia. His hobbies include writing, reading, acting, and singing. Williams' volunteerism includes:
