Man Talk From Marlon Leterrance

Marlon LeTerrance is a twenty-something byproduct of the Hip Hop generation. LeTerrance is also a highly sought after speaker and writer on topics ranging from the Black male perspective, the US prison system, current events, relationships, the hip hop culture, family values, and a wide range of cultural issues. Deeply influenced by the work of WEB DuBois and Harold Kushner, LeTerrance has written for several online and print publications. He is the author of three self-help books: 10 Quick Steps to Finding Mr. Right, When The Man You've Always Wanted Isn't Enough, and When Doves Cry, all of which discuss relationship issues from the Black male perspective.

He is the recipient of the prestigious Dr. Molefi Asante Award from Temple University's Writing Fellowes Program, and in 2000 was named to the Harlem Creative Writer's Association "Inner Circle." His work can be viewed at websites such as TheSource.com, DaveyD.com, BlackElectorate.com. He is also a frequent contributor to several other online sites. LeTerrance divides his time between Raleigh, NC and New York City, NY where he mentors troubled youth. He received a citation from former Mayor Rudolph Guiliani in 2001 for his efforts in helping to keep Brooklyn youth out of jail. He is the founder and CO-owner of Smi-Lee Publishing Company and is about to publish his first volume of poetry. He is currently at work on his fourth book, Incarcerated Dreams.
